Carmen Renaldy and Aaron Risen have over 30 years experience in locum tenens and physician staffing.
Mr. Renaldy has been in the physician staffing business since receiving his undergraduate degree from Ohio University in 1980. He began his career as a recruiter and scheduler with one of the largest, multi-hospital emergency physician contract groups in the country. In 1984, Mr. Renaldy was invited to join a colleague in the start-up phase of one of the nation’s oldest locum tenens agencies. In the late 1980’s, his colleagues and he pioneered the concept of providing anesthesia contract management services to hospitals around the country, giving Mr. Renaldy significant insight into the daily operations of Anesthesia & Surgery Departments.
Seeking new challenges, he worked his way up to executive level management as a Director and Executive Vice President for two other national, multi-specialty locum tenens firms. He was instrumental in the successful start-up and growth of both companies, having led the expansion of one of the companies by increasing annual revenue from $1 million to over $15 million in 5 years.
Mr. Renaldy’s career experience spans all aspects of the locum tenens business – from recruiting, staffing, marketing and credentialing, to organizational development and strategic planning.
Mr. Risen is a veteran in the physician recruiting and staffing business since receiving his undergraduate degree from Ohio University in 1980. His career began as a recruiter and scheduler with one of the largest, multi-hospital emergency physician contract groups in the country. He continued his career for the ensuing 15+ years in permanent physician recruitment, focusing on several surgical specialties and managing the physician recruiting division for one of the largest hospital alliances in the country.
Over the span of his career he has worked with countless hospital CEOs, COOs, group practice managers and key physician decision makers on practice development, physician compensation and contract negotiation issues resulting in the successful recruitment of over 150 physicians. He has extensive experience in working with physicians and clients in all surgical specialties and in emergency & hospital medicine and critical care to name a few.
Prior to forming MedLink, Mr. Risen held the position of Director of Physician Recruitment with a Florida-based specialty physician practice management company.
